ABOUT US

Task Force 1982 was formed in 2024 when a group of likeminded reenactors and militaria collectors got together to form a group to display the Uniform, Equipment and Weaponry that was used in the Falklands Conflict of 1982.

Our members cover a wide range of impressions, from all three branches of the British Forces, while also covering the Argentine Forces.

Types of displays we offer

When attending events, we can offer a variety of display types, based on the event and display options available to us.

Kit Layouts

Our Kit Layouts show the equipment, uniform and weaponry used during the conflict, and our collections are ever expanding. We can display kit from every branch of the British Armed Forces, along with a growing collection of equipment used by the Argentine Forces as well.

Immersive Displays

We put the 'Living' into Living History. With our immersive displays, our members live as close as possible to how they would have during the conflict (minus the cold and wet weather....sometimes). Digging trenches, machine gun positions and shell scrapes, we show how those who fought in the conflict lived and fought during the many battles fought on the Islands.

Show and Tells

Our group think its important to teach and transfer the knowledge we have learnt onto those who want to learn, and for the memories of those who fought to never be forgotten. To do this, we love to engage with the public and talk them through any and all bits of equipment we have on show, and to answer any questions people might have on the conflict.
